Kmart has a Birthday Club you can sign your kids up for.

As a member of the Birthday Club, your child will receive:

• A Birthday Surprise Fun Pack
• $5 in Birthday Bucks (redeemable at your local Kmart store) on your child's birthday
• Age-appropriate toy and gift suggestions
• Information on developmental milestones from 6 months through 12 years
• Tips and advice for planning a memorable birthday celebration

Rita's Ice birthday club

Rita's Ice has dicontinued their "Cool card" this year. If you have an old one, they will put the stamps on it so you can earn your free treat, but they are no longer giving out the cards to be stamped. Instead, they are telling patrons to go here to sign up for Rita's birthday club, and you will receive coupons all throughout the year. It's free, so why not join.

Happy (belated) Bloggy Birthday to me!

Well, a year has come & gone. So quickly in fact, that I missed my own bloggy birthday! My blog turned 1 on July 26....to celebrate, I'm holding a giveaway. The "prize" will be $100 worth of stockpile items. It might be lotion, shampoo, hair color, baby wipes, deoderant, toothpaste, "girly" products, makeup....the list goes on and on & the possibilities are endless.

Happy 22nd birthday, "Brother Bear"! I'm sure you might already know it, but then again, you might not, but, you are one of my bestest friends in the entire world, and your neice & nephew think you're a pretty cool dude, too (along with a lot of other peeps I'm sure). Hope you had a good celebration at the fight & dinner before. I love you!

Birthday wishlist

My birthday is coming up next month. My dear husband usually asks me about a week before what I want, and I never can think of anything to tell him....my parents ask as well, but a little sooner than that.

Well, this year I'm on top of things & am posting my list of "wants" here for them to refer to when they need to.
--I want someone to come hook my dishwasher up that we bought brand new almost 2 years ago when we moved into our house....but it's just been sitting there because it's not hooked up.
--I want ceiling fans installed in the kids' bedrooms & 1 in the family room. I think we have them all purchased, again, it's just we need someone to come do the installation.
--I would like to have a new glass front door so I can open my door on a cool fall/spring day and let the breeze blow through.
--A new door installed between the dining & utility rooms, so we can take down the afghan that's been hanging there for over a year now.
--A nice set of silverware to go w/ the new dishes I'd like.
--If all else fails, Bath & Body Works sweet pea body cream is always a welcome item


While I'm at it....Honey, I want this (or something like it) for our 5 year wedding anniversary coming up in February. :-)
