YTD Savings

Around March or so, I decided to create a spreadsheet to help me keep track of my coupon & rebate savings. According to my calculations, I have saved a total of $2,991.09 by using coupons, and earned $1,030.32 in rebates, for a total of $4,021.41!

For 2009, I've decided to keep track of how much I spend at each of my store trips, so I can get a better idea of just how much I am saving (or spending).

So, for those who don't use coupons or do rebates, let this be an eye opener for you that you really can save money with them! Of course, I'm still learning, there are folks out there who spend very little, if anything out of pocket for their groceries. One day, hopefully, I will be just like that.

This morning while laying in the bed cuddling, my (almost) 3 year old son, Lucas, rolled over to me and told me I was just like Santa. When I proceeded to ask him why, his response was: "Because you're big and fat!" Boy, was I sorry I asked.

Fernando Guerrero press conference

Today at 12pm sharp, there was a press conference at Black Diamond Lodge in Fruitland, Maryland with Fernando Guerrero & his trainer/manager, Hal Chernoff. The purpose was to tell his fans the details of his next fight, to be held here in Salisbury on Friday, February 6, and will be televised on ESPN.

I'm super excited about this, even though I'm not a huge boxing fan, but after watching his first fight here in Salisbury, I'm hooked. He's a super great guy, doing everything he can to get the community together, and even giving back to the communities that support him. As an entrance "fee" to the press conference today, you were supposed to bring a canned good and/or a toy for Toys for Tots. When my husband & I left, it looked like they got a pretty decent assortment of gifts, but the canned good collection containers had already been removed.

Fore more details about the fight, you'll have to keep watch here as I'm sure Joe will have some pics & details to post later.
